Last Saturday (16th April 2016), the official kick-off of Mom in Balance Stockholm took place. 20 energetic and enthusiastic ladies joined the outdoor workouts that were held on Djursholm beach at Germaniavägen. Esther van Diepen (founder of Mom in Balance) hosted the workouts together with our local Emilie Terstegge-Nuyens (franchise owner Mom in Balance Stockholm). The outdoor workouts combined cardio, strength, stretching and core training and included pregnant ladies, mums with tiny babies and ladies getting back into shape once their kids have gotten a bit older. Check out the photos from the day, taken by Sollentuna-based photographer, Sandra Jolly. | For more information about the classes in Danderyd, click here: www.mominbalance.com |

On my first visit to Anders he asked relevant health questions before asking me to lay on his couch... At this point I would of done anything just to omit the pain, however there was one problem - the couch was probably about 12” wide and approximately 24” from the floor not the standard 20” couch I’m used to. After looking at it for a moment I had to admit I didn't know how to get on it (the pain in my back was ruling my thoughts and ability)! Anders kindly gave me direction on how best to position myself onto it which I did cautiously and with a few guest words that probably he hadn't come across before! Once on the couch I felt relief but then the sudden anxiousness of how on earth I would get up again. With me flat on my stomach and Anders at my feet, he was telling me what the cause of my issue was. Again, amazed at how just by looking at my bare back he could give such and accurate diagnosis, he then proceeded to carry out manipulation (I call it magic) and put me into many positions for my own benefit. Of course this was my first visit and everything Anders was going to do was going to be a complete surprise to me - the novice ‘Chiro virgin’. As I moved into the various positions he would hold me and then without warning place pressure which, I won't lie, made me scream and want to cry but I resisted (well resisted crying anyway). I won't say the first visit cured but certainly helped. The appointment lasted around 45 minutes and although my movement wasn't much improved in the following days, I was certainly more mobile than I had been. This considering I actually thought I had broken my back, unable to make a drink and even getting up to go to the loo involved planning ahead.
On my subsequent visits to Anders, he continued to work his magic, finishing each treatment with a back massage. On the final visit he explained how crooked my back was on the first visit and gave me lasting exercises to do on a daily basis. At last I was able to walk out of his therapy room unaided. I cannot recommend Anders enough - for fixing me, his caring attitude and ability to make the customer feel relaxed and safe is amazing. With over 20 years experience I would have no hesitation in recommending this guy to anyone. In my book he’s a real star! For more information, see the website: www.djursholmshalsoteam.nu
